IDEA at Bonn:
Chimera

A Chimera is a monster of Greek mythology with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail. For IDEA, each of them represent one of the components the Chimera model and language tries to integrate: object orientation, deduction, and trigger mechanisms.

This chimera became the mascot of the overall IDEA project. It appears at the IDEA Presentation Page and covers the IDEA project reports.

The chimera below is a masterpiece of Etruscan bronze art: Casted around 400 BC, it was devoted to Tinia, the Etruscian Zeus. The IDEA team at Bonn prefers this chimera as its mascot, so it also serves as a startup screen for our Chimera Prototyping Tool.
